I really don't lol. I don't know when the last single player game I actually finished was. I can do co-op games because the multiplayer keeps me going but other than that I'm pretty hopeless. I'm just ADHD (diagnosed but never officially medicated) and it prevails in gaming sadly. I also find competitive games more interesting so that is also prob a factor

Lol I've basically cut my toes with the smash scene. Overwatch is cool though because I can be competitive whenever I want instead of having to devote one Saturday a week to it (a la melee). I wish I was as good at Overwatch as I was at melee though

Fuck I just read a review and it sounds so good. No random battled makes it very appealing. Of only Pokemon games would take the same approach. Maybe I'll check it out if and when I finish DQIX

vii on 3ds is good too. No randoms.

But the overall story pace is much slower, so may not be for you

But yes, VIII is awesome. If you like IX, I think you'd like VIII even better, though the multiplayer aspect isn't there.

Yeah you guys have convinced me. My priorities:
-Finish DQIX while in Mexico/on planes (how long did it take yal?)
-Finish pkm moon so my gf will stop bugging me about it
-Start DQVIII

Annoyingly Pokemon Sun is the first game my girlfriend has ever beat (basically the 2nd game she's ever played) and now im a quitter for starting it with her and getting bored of it. Never have I had to finish a video game to appease a female before
