i like it too, it's just kind of frustrating. for the type of game it is, though, it's well-made.

lol the pathway to the final palace and the palace itself are so unforgiving

I'm grinding a lot, but leveling up honestly doesn't seem to help. The only one I notice is attack power increases.

you literally choose which to upgrade though and said meters visibly increase so it's kind of hard not to notice them???

The numbers go up, but I've found hearts and jars to make the actual meter go up.

When the number on your health goes up, it is leveled up. You will take less damage, even if the meter itself stays the same.
Same with the others.
