Keep in mind that the people who run it are Nintendo of America employees. The Wii and DS are selling like hotcakes, so they may very well be too busy to maintain Nsider.

In the same respect, the fact that they're selling like hotcakes should show that Ninty can afford to hire, what, 3,4 people to maintain the forums.

It's not because they can't maintain it, it's that they don't want to.

Maybe because Nsider has become a mess, so they're just going to set up an entirely new forum? Maybe Andy decided to step down, and there's going to be an entirely new team that is going to run the forum in an entirely new way?

If they create another forum that's still running on Lithium, then it's all good.

For starters, I doubt that NSider is gone forever.  What a lot of people don't realize is that NSider did something very similiar not once, but twice in the past before this ever happened.  There used to be something called digichat where NP readers could go and chat with each other.  There were no forums included at the time.  There was something very primitive before that even.  Nintendo is probably going to make some bigger and better online community that will come out sometime in 2008.  It will likely include the Wii and DS browsers.  As for the forums, well, we wasted 1000's of posts there and chances are that rank will no longer matter.
