I can somewhat relate through the fact that my grandmother on my father's side died almost a year ago, but that doesn't mean I have to care. pseudo;

All of my grandparents are still alive, and I know all of them really well. Which means I have to experience the death of all four of them.

Fuck.

I'm glad I got to know them, though. They're great people.

I've had 3 grandparents, a great aunt, and an uncle die on me in my life time and I didn't even get close to crying over any of them. I didn't really know or give a damn about any of them. It was just like some random person died who just so happened to be related to me.

Yeah, well, while I may not have ever seen my grandmother in person, we still interacted with eachother. She would call pretty often to talk, send cards, mail us gifts for our birthdays...
She was more than just a random grandparent I never knew, that's why it hurts.

I'm really sorry to hear that man. I haven't really had someone pass away that is really close to me. I know that when it does happen it will be very hard. I wish you good luck getting through this time.
