Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Likewise, music that doesn't suck is in the ear of the beholder.

True, some of the music sounds just about the same as each other's music (just like Hip-Hop, but with things like Rock and such), but is having one of those bland songs as a favorite mean you have a bad taste in music? *tries not to say anything about Linkin Park*

I will say that if all you've heard is Linkin Park and other mainstream bands promoted by big labels, then yes, you don't have good taste in music. I wouldn't say you have bad taste, just not great. But if you've heard all sorts of music from every genre and part of the world, and still call the same mainstream bands your favorite, then sure.

I just kind of dislike it when people talk about music and stuff authoritively, and act like they know what they're talking about, when their favorite bands correspond to Billboard's Top 200.  psyduck;

I guess if one has no variety. (I. E. only likes classic rock, only likes metal, only likes hip hop)

Also, when the music is meaningless, lyrics-wise and instrument-wise
