My school logs every single thing a person does on the computers, and when what is done. I'm sure it wouldn't be that much harder for a college to log everything that goes through their network.

Who cares?  Unless the images were hosted locally and the permissions were really, really crafty, they could be accessed directly by anyone who knows where they are, which would be anyone that could see the router/access/etc. logs.
