Living with ambiguity.

    Living in ambiguity is fairly uncomfortable for most of us. As humans, we have a tendency to want information, and know what is going on around us, even if we might not like the news. Because living with the unknown is uncomfortable, many of us contend with this and try to make sense out of it with the possibilty of creating some solid ground. Living with ambiguity takes extra energy when trying to cope in positives ways.

  Ambiguity lessens one's sense of control, and that can send someone into panic. We like to believe that we have control over our lives, and that our decisions open new doors and create new paths for us to walk on. Sometimes religion can put restrictions on this kind of thinking; the thought that we have full control over our lives and this is present specifically when discussing Christianity. In Christianity, it says that God already has a plan for us. That everything happens for a reason. So if I were to put a gun to my head right this moment, and blow my head off, was that God's plan? Was that what he intended for me?
