Myths and legends regarding gods have existed in most early civilizations for a number of reasons. If you look at the Greeks, you'll see that the main reason for all these stories was to inspire youths to become like the heroes of legend: courageous, kind-hearted, and ethical.

And guess what? Those legends have been around a long time.

Well sure, we know now that Troy really existed.

Anyway, the point is that the Bible is no exception. It could easily be just as false as any other collection of myths. What it does undeniably provide is a set of moral values that one can follow to try to be a good person.

Yes, homosexuals should be allowed to marry, but I highly doubt I'll ever find someone that I would actually think about being married to, so I guess it doesn't effect me very much.

I honestly don't give a shit about what they do in their personal life, so I am for letting them marry if they want.

The only thing is technically marriage is the joining of a man and a woman, so either change marriage to be the joining of 2 lovers, or give gay marriage a different name, like 'barriage' maybe.
