The case and RAM together were $300. My GPU was $500 when I bought it, but 99% of aftermarket GPUs are RGB nowadays. I think my water cooler was... $175? My mobo has built in RGB stuff as well, but it's only the line down the side anyways.

i guess that doesn't seem too bad, depending on the gpu model

It's a GTX 980. At the time it was top of the line. I'm gonna wait for the 11xx's to come out before I make a decision on what to upgrade to.

a sound decision

my gpu came out in 2015 and i've been tempted to upgrade to a 1080i, but on the other hand, it's only a bottleneck in a handful of games and the 11xx series is probably less than a year away Scared Squid

Nvidia typically launches their new cards just before or just after the holidays. I think when I bought my 980 the 980 ti came out maybe a week or two later. HRIIOOOO

good god myface

why are those 128gb ssds so expensive, you should be able to find ~240gb ones for those prices

also you could probably find 3200mhz ram for around that price, and for ryzen you really do want the fastest ram you can afford

the crucial one was like brand new when I got it. adggrth But I think I only paid $40 for the Sandisk one. And for the ram, the 3000mhz was $30 or so off, and I'll never even need the 3200 lol. My board can only take these up to 2800 anyways.
