What is tiger and bunny even about?

I've seen fan art but never actually cared enough to see what it was about

there are these heroes in this city who are mutants called NEXT, they're on this tv show where they compete against each other for points (by rescuing people and catching criminals), this middle-aged hero is forced to team up with this new hero who is looking to avenge his parents' death, product placement out the ass, blah

I've only seen the first few episodes so far myself, but it's pretty much about superheroes as commercialism would use them: in a superhero show where they compete for points granted by saving civilians and arresting villians, with particular focus on a pair who have been forced into a somewhat incompatible duo

QuoteThis anime is still airing, you cannot mark it as completed.

Samus Aran

Just finished Spice and Wolf. The first season, that is. My only real gripe is with how unfinished it feels. But considering there's a second season, it's not really a relevant gripe anymore.

Art was nothing special but it was nice (there is one part where a horse is so lazily animated though that it's laughable).

Characterization is the main selling point here - the interactions between Lawrence and Horo are really what makes the show so charming. And they both have charm, that's for sure. They seem to understand each other better than we do, but we're always given hints about their real feelings for each other. But the show doesn't stoop to the level of making the romance obvious, which is nice.

It's a very subdued, relaxing story without much action (there is SOME, though), and no real fanservice or anything like that to speak of. Even in the couple instances where Horo is naked, it's not like she has real ladyparts or anything and it's not really presented in a fanservice way. There's a lot of economics lessons that are actually pretty interesting, and it makes Lawrence's trade as a merchant as well as the setting more believable.

Music is decent. There's not much to say about it, really. The OP is absolutely gorgeous though.

8/10.

Samus Aran

And now I finished Green Green. It was awful. I mean, Eiken is a lot worse, but Green Green is the same type of super fanservice show, basically. But at least Green Green has more decent art ("decent" used loosely here), and it's not nearly as goddamn ridiculous nor is it as nonsensical. Its attempt at "romance" and "plot" are completely laughable though and the show basically boils down to something that is, at times, completely repulsive.

Imagine a man with "E-cup" moobs. Now imagine a man with a little sister complex who gets off by eating rice while watching an innocent little girl sleep. Now imagine...uhh...that one other lame pervert.

Now imagine them all naked, in a sweaty pile, simulating sex acts on one another, pretending that they are each other's "love interests" (as if love has anything to do with the girls they're after). This is an actual scene in the show. Episode 6 I believe.

At least the main character isn't like that, but goddamn. Gross.
