My dad was like, "you have a hard senior year and if i get you a netbook it will be easier so i will get you one."
What is the best netbook that you can find for under $400?

reeper

Looks like every netbook out there. They're not too much different from eachother.

strongbad

Just got an HP Mini. I love it.

Hiro

Lucky you
I like HP Minis the best; what kind did you get?

It's so amazing. I never realized that for the things that i do on my computer, a netbook is perfect :)

Hiro

Nice, that's a very good one.
A netbook would work for me as well.

I'd be lying if I said that wasn't half of it.

I would have gotten a netbook if you could do more on them. But I needed mainstream hardware and a big screen baddood;

How hard is it to get a Windows machine to run OS X (not emulate)? Is OS X easy to pirate? If not, how much would it cost?

Depends what kind of computer, newer ones using generic parts (ie common motherboards and graphics cards) can usually do it pretty easily, older computers is pretty hit or miss. The process involves installing OS X, installing a bootloader, and then fixing things if necessary so sound, ethernet, graphics, networking works.

tons of people have done it with MSI Wind netbooks, they're a popular choice

you could pirate Snow Leopard pretty easily or spend $29

I thought the upgrade was $29, not the actual OS. Jesus Christ thats a steal.

Windows 7 is nice but too expensive for someone who never owned Vista.

Yeah, Snow Leopard is a great OS too, it's fast and small
