Because it's really small and it doesn't cost the government any more (probably would bring in some via fines) to just say "put bigger warnings"

And you ignored the rest. baddood;

Because everyone who can read is aware of the dangers of cigarettes:

How can you misunderstand what that means?

not to mention people who want to smoke... are going to do so. they won't be scared out of their addiction so easily.

QuotePutting what goes into cigarettes under FDA control?

So this wasn't regulated at any level before?

QuoteStopping illicit marketing towards children?

For all the talk about how much tobacco companies target children in their advertising, I've never really noticed it. Maybe it's more prevalent up north, but down here it's not a huge deal. Maybe it's because I don't live in a major city.

This is true as well. People who smoke are aware of the dangers. They aren't going to stop regardless of the health dangers - they've proven that time and time again.

Uh, they advertise everywhere.  Candy flavored cigarettes? Joe Camel? Using Flintstones characters to advertise?

It might not be as prevalent as it was before, but they still go after children.

And what about people who don't smoke yet?

And regardless, putting additives under FDA control isn't a bad thing and I don't get how anyone can try to spin it as such.

I think I need more time to have any strong opinion about him... I don't see why people are freaking out about the socialism thing so much though... The president that got elected the most times in our history was also pretty much the closest to a socialist.

This kid I know told me that Barack Obama is a communist. Needless to say my face hit the nearest wall in disappointment.

Hey guys, how many bills which change redistribution of wealth has Barack Obama passed so far? How much has the healthcare system changed so far?
I support BUSH

I think he's a fine man. I kinda wish that he was the leader of Canada. We really have shitty people running this country. I think it is to early to judge how he is doing. I also cannot say much because I do not live in America so I don't know too too much about how that country should be ran. But people seem content with him. Plus he's decently goodlooking for an old guy.

Oh

 Pretty upset really, mainly for the gay rights and cannabis. There is no real reason to ban either. The US wastes more money on the police force and keeping people on jail then they should. "Oh hey, we're throwing you in jail for smoking pot and ruining your life so you can't ruin yours by smoking harmless pot"  akudood;

this
while I don't think I would directly benefit from the legalization of cannabis the drug prohibition is unconstitutional.
