when i was swimming this summer, i thought to myself "if i have sex in the water maybe my babies would have webbed feet to help them swim. And then my lineage could finally be one with the sea."

what if the ancient astronauts that visited our planet and gave us our religious beliefs were unable to return home?  so instead of remaining with humans on land, they became dolphins?

I recall a TV program once that took seriously the notion of an aquatic primate or aquatic human ancestor because the world had vastly higher sea levels in the past. I couldn't believe there were people proposing this seriously. I can still recall this blurry ape like creature they kept showing coming out of the surf. Made me laugh, really.
